Regular exercise keeps a body healthy and strong as doctors have said for years. If you allow your body to become lazy, any amount of exercise may increase the risk of muscle cramping as well as heart problems. If you need exercise and feel walking outside or going to the gym will cause you more problems with time and work, you can invest in home gym equipment, which allows you to benefit from a proper workout.

As you watch TV, you see many famous actors giving a seal of approvable for many different types of home gym fitness equipment. Because of television, you never know which equipment to buy. They advertise the Bowflex, AB Lounge and many more. Even Chuck Norris gets in on the bandwagon, and this leads people astray from what they really need.

Why a Weight Machine
Weight machines allow you to use different weights that weight different in pounds for a greater workout. These machines usually have cords or ropes for lifting weights and provide an upper body workout and a lower body workout when you use the leg portion of the machine. Some similar to what this is would be a Bowflex which does have many different types of exercises than just weights.

When you use these types of machines, you need to set your own limits and work up to a higher weight lifting level slowly. Starting out to high on weights will cause harm and defeat the purpose of staying healthy. You can find these types of machines everywhere and for the most part no one ever loses interest in this type of home gym equipment.

Why Try Free Weights
The term free weights pertains to weights on a bar bell or dumb bells. These types of weights usually come with a bench as well for laying down to lift weights. The other way to lift the weights is without a bench standing up. To use the dumb bells, you can stand or sit and do arm curls to strengthen the upper arms.

This equipment recommends that you use a spotter in case you tire and cannot get out from underneath the weights. Many accidents arise from free weights. If you drop one on any part of your body, you could receive a serious injury.

What Is A Resistance Machine
The resistance machines offer tension that allows you to work your way up to maximum resistance. You start out slow and then gradually work your way up. These machines use rubber bands that make the workout more intense and thus you burn more calories.

These home gyms take up some space as most have what I call wander bars that spread out over an area like fan. These machines work the entire body and provide a great cardiovascular workout. You will never fail to have a great workout with these types of home gyms.
